LEHMANN V REAL MADRID (H) 08-03-06
En-route to the Champions League Final in 2006 Arsenal secured a 1-0 aggregate win over Real Madrid
thanks to a brilliant second-half stop by Jens Lehmann.
Arsène Wenger's side had registered victory at the Bernabeu in the first leg of the First Knockout Round tie but with less than half an hour remaining in the return fixture Raul hit the inside of the post from 25 yards, leaving Lehmann grounded.
But the keeper leapt to his feet instantly and with Raul's second effort heading into the back of the net he managed to paw the ball aside.
The German was moving backwards and needed a strong hand to force the ball away from goal and produce a superb reaction save.
