Lyrics/James Blunt/I Really Want You

I Really Want You از James Blunt تقدیم به دو غریبِ آشنا،

برای ایران، برای آزادی، دلم تنگ است...

Many prophets preach on bended knee

Many clerics wasted wine

Do the bloody sheets

On those cobbled streets mean

I have wasted time

?Are there silver shores on paradise

?Can I come in from the cold

I killed a man in a far away land

My enemy I'm told.

I really want you to really want me

But I really don't know if you can do that

I know you want to know what's right

But I know it's so hard for you to do that

And time's running out as often it does

And often dictates that you can't do that

But fate can't break this feeling inside

That's burning up through my veins

I really want you

I really want you

I really want you... now

No matter what I say or do

The message isn’t getting through

And you’re listening to the sound

Of my breaking heart

I really want you

I really want you

?Is a poor man rich in solitude

Or will mother earth complain

Did the beggar pray for a sunny day but

?Lady luck for rain

They say a million people bow and scrape

To an effigy of gold

I saw life begin

And the ship we're in

And history unfold

I really want you to really want me

But I really don't know if you can do that

I know you want to know what's right

But I know it's so hard for you to do that

And time's running out as often it does

And often dictates that you can't do that

But fate can't break this feeling inside

That's burning up through my veins

I really want you

I really want you

I really want you... now

No matter what I say or do

The message isn't getting through

And your listening to the sound

David Seaman... denies Paul Peschisolido

Top Fives: Saves - No 1 David Seaman

The winner with 30 per cent of the vote is David Seaman's save from Sheffield United's Paul Peschisolido in the 2003 FA Cup Semi-Final.

Read on for the story of that save and click on the black box for our video feature with Kenny, Martin and presenter Mark Pougatch.

We'll bring you another 'Top Fives' countdown next week.

David Seaman

SEAMAN V SHEFFIELD UNITED (N) 13-04-2003

With David Seaman approaching his 40th birthday, some people were suggesting that the

keeper was past his best during his final season at Arsenal

That was until the FA Cup Semi-Final against Sheffield United at Old Trafford in April 2003.

Freddie Ljungberg had given Arsenal a first-half lead and with six minutes remaining The Blades would have equalised if it wasn't for Seaman's astonishing save.

Carl Asaba volleyed a shot towards goal and Paul Peschisolido looked to have diverted it in from close range. But the Arsenal keeper threw himself across goal and reached back to somehow claw the ball away from under the crossbar.

Seaman was marking his 1000th senior appearance but he probably hadn't made a better save in his illustrious career.

Top Fives: Saves - No 2 Jens Lehmann

In second place with 22 per cent of the vote is Jens Lehmann's save from Villareal's Juan Roman Riquelme in the Champions League Semi-Final in April 2006.

Read on for the story of that save and click on the black box for our video feature with Kenny, Martin and presenter Mark Pougatch.

On our next post we'll reveal which save finished first in the poll.

Jens Lehmann

LEHMANN V VILLAREAL (H) 24-04-06

Jens Lehmann emerged as Arsenal's hero after a tough, tense but ultimately magical night at El Madrigal

 in April 2006.

The German kept Villarreal at bay throughout the second leg of the Champions League Semi-Final in Spain but it all boiled down to one kick, and one save, two minutes from time.

Arsenal had won the first leg 1-0 at Highbury, so a goalless draw would have been enough to secure the Gunners their first Champions League Final appearance.

But when Gael Clichy was adjudged to have fouled Jose Mari in the closing stages, Juan Roman Riquelme was given the chance to level the aggregate score from the penalty spot.

However Lehmann, who had been superb throughout the game, saved his best for last, diving to his left to push away the spot kick.

Shortly afterwards the final whistle blew, sparking joyous scenes on the Arsenal bench and among the small but noisy band of travelling supporters. Lehmann threw his shirt into the away end as the Arsenal squad celebrated on the pitch.

The German keeper was a fitting hero after helping to marshal Arsenal to a record-breaking run of 10 successive clean sheets in the Champions League.

Top Fives: Saves - No 3 Jens Lehmann

In third place with nine per cent of the vote is Jens Lehmann's save from Real Madrid's Raul in the Champions League at Highbury in March 2006.

Read on for the story of that save and click on the black box for our video feature with Kenny, Martin and presenter Mark Pougatch.

On our next post we'll reveal which save finished second in the poll.

Jens Lehmann

LEHMANN V REAL MADRID (H) 08-03-06

En-route to the Champions League Final in 2006 Arsenal secured a 1-0 aggregate win over Real Madrid

thanks to a brilliant second-half stop by Jens Lehmann.

Arsène Wenger's side had registered victory at the Bernabeu in the first leg of the First Knockout Round tie but with less than half an hour remaining in the return fixture Raul hit the inside of the post from 25 yards, leaving Lehmann grounded.

But the keeper leapt to his feet instantly and with Raul's second effort heading into the back of the net he managed to paw the ball aside.

The German was moving backwards and needed a strong hand to force the ball away from goal and produce a superb reaction save.

TOP FIVES/Saves/No 4 Lukasz Fabianski v Wigan

TOP FIVES

Lukasz Fabianski

Top Fives: Saves - No 4 Lukasz Fabianski

In fourth place with eight per cent of the vote is Lukasz Fabianski's save from Amr Zaki in the Carling Cup at Emirates Stadium in 2008.

Read on for the story of that save and click on the black box for our video feature with Kenny, Martin and presenter Mark Pougatch.

On our next post we'll reveal which save finished third in the poll.

Lukasz Fabianski

FABIANSKI V WIGAN (H) 11-11-2008

Fabianski was captaining Arsène Wenger's young side in a Carling Cup clash with Wigan in November

2008 when he produced a stunning double-save in the closing minutes to secure a second successive clean sheet in that season's competition.

Arsenal were already 3-0 up in the game thanks to Jay Simpson's double and a strike from Carlos Vela.

But in the closing stages Daniel de Ridder weaved his way into the area from the left, forcing Fabianski to push his shot away.

The Polish keeper then showed incredible reflexes and agility as he sprung up to tip Amr Zaki's follow-up effort onto the underside of the crossbar.

TOP FIVES Play

This summer on Arsenal.com, the fans are choosing their favourite Arsenal moments from the Premier League era.

Supporters have already cast their votes in 10 categories - now it's time to reveal the results.

We're focusing on Arsenal's finest SAVES this week with expert analysis from two former Gunners, Kenny Sansom and Martin Hayes.

In fifth place with eight per cent of the vote is David Seaman's save from Brett Ormerod in the 2003 FA Cup Final.

Read on for the story of that save and click on the black box for our video feature with Kenny, Martin and presenter Mark Pougatch.

On our next post we'll reveal which save finished fourth in the poll.

David Seaman

SEAMAN v SOUTHAMPTON (N) 17-05-2003

David Seaman had his critics in his final season before retirement but he answered them in the

grand manner with two outstanding saves in his last two FA Cup appearances.

We might hear more about another of those later in the week but today we're focusing on the stop Seaman made in his final Arsenal match - the 2003 FA Cup Final.

The Gunners had been largely in control at the Millennium Stadium but only had Robert Pires' first-half strike to show for it. And Southampton came on strong in the final stages of the game.

Their best chance fell to Brett Ormerod with seven minutes left. He turned past Oleg Luzhny and hit a fierce shot goalwards but Seaman, as focused as ever, showed his reflexes to divert the ball wide.

That save effectively clinched the Cup for Arsenal and Seaman himself lifted the trophy with Patrick Vieira just moments later.

Marouane Chamakh -striker- Signed for Arsenal

CHAMAKH SIGNS FOR ARSENAL

Marouane Chamakh... will wear the No 29 shirt

Marouane Chamakh completes move to Arsenal

Arsenal Football Club is delighted to announce that Moroccan international striker Marouane Chamakh

has joined the Gunners on a long-term contract.

Chamakh (26), who joins Arsenal from French side Bordeaux, made a total of 293 appearances, scoring 79 goals during his eight years with Les Girondins.

In the 2008/09 league campaign, Chamakh scored 14 goals, helping Bordeaux win the French League title, thus ending Lyon’s seven-year domination of Ligue 1. The Moroccan striker’s fine form continued last season, playing an integral role in helping Bordeaux reach the quarter-finals of the UEFA Champions League, where they finished above both Bayern Munich and Juventus in the Group Stages.

Born and raised in France, but playing international football for Morocco through his parentage, Chamakh has made 53 appearances for the north African country, scoring 27 goals, and was part of the side which reached the Final of the 2004 Africa Cup of Nations.

Manager Arsène Wenger said: “We are delighted that
Marouane Chamakh has joined us. He is a player we have admired for some time now and I know he will provide our squad with great quality. Chamakh has proved he is a great player with his performances for Bordeaux and Morocco in recent seasons and we’re all looking forward to him joining us.

"Chamakh is a striker of real quality and has all the attributes suited to come to England and do very well. He is also a fighter, not only a good football player, but a fighter as well. He is very good in the air and also a good team player. He is a great addition to our squad.”

After completing his move to the Gunners, Chamakh said: “This is a dream come true and a great joy to be joining Arsenal. My goal was always to play in the Premier League and Arsenal was the choice of my heart.

“Without any hesitation, Arsenal was my preferred club. The team and history of Arsenal, they make me dream. My goal was to join Arsenal out of the all the English clubs because it is a club that makes me dream and I have been a fan since I was a child.

“I’m very excited about playing at Emirates Stadium in front of the Arsenal supporters. I have heard many great things about the stadium and I cannot wait to be playing there in an Arsenal shirt.

“I will give my best to this Club, the Club that I used to support. We have many great players at Arsenal and I will be giving everything to help the team win trophies next season.”

Ivan Gazidis, Chief Executive of Arsenal Football Club added: “Arsène has been following the progress of
Marouane Chamakh for some time and has identified him as a player that will add significant strength to our squad. We’re delighted that Marouane has chosen Arsenal ahead of the many other clubs that were interested in him.”

Chamakh, who will wear the number 29 shirt for Arsenal, will join up with his new team-mates for pre-season training in July.
